The rainbow song is something Khai and I sing together each and every bedtime after stories. I loved this song so much when I was a child, I can still remember singing my heart out at morning school assemblies to it, everyone whispering “how can you listen with your eyes?” and “those aren’t the real colours of a rainbow”.
Another reason I love singing this song with him is because Khai’s speech is not quite at the stage it should be; so he doesn’t entirely speak the average amount of words that most three year old do, he can talk infact since attending nursery he comes home with an average of around four new words a week, he even uses sentences but they are limited to around four or five words which I am told is not that bad [He will be seeing a speech therapist but unfortunately there is a very long waiting list I will be writing a post on this shortly] and the rainbow song is a great way to get him to say, learn, and pronounce his colours correctly.

My girls are always singing, “Red, orange, yellow green blue, indigo and violet too…the colors of the rainbow”. I like your rainbow song better, but now I have ours stuck in my head! Oh, bother. I’m following your blog now, it is lovely!
